OVERVIEW

Organizations are navigating an unprecedented era defined by a rapidly shifting geopolitical landscape, a second draft of globalization, the accelerating impacts of the AI revolution, and major generational shifts. To survive, thrive, and innovate, risk-focused leaders need an entirely new toolkit and network—one that will help give their organizations a sustainable, competitive advantage in an era of disruption.

For legal practitioners, AI presents opportunities to expand access to justice, strengthen compliance, and enhance institutional integrity—if guided by clear ethical principles and thoughtful design. This LIF Salon will explore how artificial intelligence is reshaping the ethical foundations of law, governance, and corporate decision-making, with a keynote by American lawyer, law professor, and legal scholar Ray Brescia.

Drawing on his research in technology-driven legal transformation, Brescia will explore how emerging tools challenge traditional notions of professional responsibility, client confidentiality, and accountability, and why practitioners should embrace a visionary model of “ethical AI leadership,” one that defines trust and transparency as core components of sustainable innovation.

PURPOSE

Held under Chatham House Rule, LIF salons offer an intimate forum for innovation-focused leaders to explore new ideas at the intersection of business, risk, and law.

STRUCTURE

  • Networking, discussions and dinner at an exclusive venue: Salons will run from 5:30 – 9:30 pm at a highly prestigious location in each city: ambassadorial residences, leading cultural institutions, or private dining rooms at top-tier restaurants.
  • Thought-provoking keynote speaker: A 30-minute keynote from a recognized thought leader (e.g., an academic, policy maker, leading journalist, or successful entrepreneur) delivering an impactful, theme-driven address.
  • Intimate roundtable discussion: A 60-minute, Chatham House Rule discussion over dinner, featuring highly structured and facilitated debate. Tables are strictly limited (5 tables maximum, 6 participants per table) with a thought leader moderating each conversation, guided by pre-set discussion points.
