OVERVIEW
The next phase of enterprise AI won’t be defined by adoption. It will be defined by a clear-eyed view of the value the technology unlocks, the risks it creates, and the outlook for players on the ground.
AI is becoming an incredible source of business innovation. It is also giving rise to a new set of threats. This leaves organizations to navigate their deployments amid conflicting market signals and with little in the way of regulatory guidance.
This second installment in LIF’s Fall Salon Series will explore the evolving economic and governance considerations of enterprise AI, and the strategic decisions organizations and their internal and external legal counsel must make in response.
Participants will hear from an expert panel before participating in a moderated roundtable dinner to discuss their AI deployments, from cost and business performance to governance and digital resilience. The goal here is to begin mapping the infrastructure that American organizations need to compete, comply, and lead with confidence.
PURPOSE
The Legal Innovation Forum Salon Series moves beyond the headlines to uncover what comes next. Through expert-led discussions and collaborative dialogue, it convenes senior leaders from across sectors to examine the issues that will define the next generation of technology, governance, and business innovation.
Held under Chatham House Rule, the LIF Salon Series offers an intimate, invitation-only forum for innovation-focused leaders to explore new ideas—and build the relationships that will shape the next phase of enterprise AI transformation.
THEMES
- Who captures the value from AI: As enterprise AI spreads, do the gains accrue to firms, workers, or clients, and what does that mean for competition, pricing, and the structure of legal and professional services markets?
- Regulating a technology that moves faster than rules: In the absence of clear regulatory guidance, who should set the guardrails (legislatures, regulators, courts, or industry itself), and what are the costs of acting too early versus too late?
- Competitiveness, security, and national resilience: How should the U.S. balance AI-driven economic leadership against emerging threats and systemic risk, and what role should public policy play in shaping the infrastructure organizations depend on?
STRUCTURE
- Networking, discussions, and dinner at an exclusive venue: The salon runs from 5:30 – 9:30 pm at The Vintage Conservatory.
- Exclusive audience: Limited to a maximum of 40 senior decision-makers from large, innovative corporations, institutions, and professional services firms.
